In the year 2008, a variant of it called Monopoly Deal was released. In this game, the players try their best to accumulate 3 different and complete card sets that represent the board game’s properties. These can be applied by stealing them you’re your opponents, playing the cards directly or by collecting these cards as rent for properties owned by you. The deck has 110 cards, that represent wild cards, properties, Monopoly money denominations and special action cards.

The most interesting component of Monopoly Deal is of course the cards that are discussed below in detail:

a) Sly deal cards, which you can use to steal property from your opponents and add to your collection of properties. This card cannot be stolen from a whole set of properties.

Monopoly Deal

b) The deal breaker allows you to steal a complete set of properties from any one of your opponents, if the set is not only complete, the player in question has the same colors and not together.

c) You can use the debt collector card and demand a Monopoly money to the tune of 5M from an opponent.

d) By using the rent card you can charge rent to an opponent on your properties or property that match the rent card color.

e) Right after using the regular Rent card, you can play the double the rent card to double the collected rent amount.

f) You can add the house or hotel cards to a full property set and thus add to the value of the value.

g) Money cards in the bank pile can be used to pay other players. Money cards come in denominations of 1 to 5 and the final one being the 10M card.

h) A forced deal card enables your to swap one of your property card’s with that of an opponent. The card top be swapped will be decided by you.

i) You can utilize the ‘just say no’ card to cancel the effect of another player’s action card. If that player also has one of these cards, he can use it to cancel out yours.

j) When you throw in the ‘it’s my birthday card; all players need to pay you 2M which is also the value of this card.

k) If you have a multi-colored rent card you can pick any player to pay you rent on one of your properties.

l) By using the pass go card you can pick 2 extra cards from the pile of draw cards. You have the option to play one or more of these cards per turn.

m) The property wildcards can be used as a substitute to property card of any one of the colors depicted on the card. There is no option for you to put together a complete property set, with purely wildcards. You can utilize this set if there is at least one standard property one.

Monopoly Deal is an amazing version of Monopoly and will bring joy to generations of players and fans of this game.

How to Win at Monopoly Deal

Blog

Monopoly Deal Monopoly Deal is a super addictive version of the game Monopoly, introduced by the Parker brothers. Released in 2008, this game is extremely addictive, fast paced and provides wonderful residual value. The rules to begin with are pretty simple. 5 minutes of instructions and you are ready to begin playing. Once you begin laying Monopoly Deal though, you will not feel the urge to stop playing. The game is quite simple, but a few strategies will keep you ahead in the game, giving you a good competitive edge.

5 simple strategies that you can follow when playing Monopoly Deal are listed below

a) You will have to build a bank roll to be able to bring into play, property of any kind. Victory in this game requires you to have three color groups. Also your properties have monetary value that you can utilize to pay off debts, so it is impertinent for you to have cash in hand before beginning to play off your properties. This way you will not end up giving up your properties to pay off debts that you accumulate.

b) You have the option of playing zero cards in one turn, going up to a maximum of 3 cards. Monopoly Deal rules this for some favorable moves, but you do not have to risk any of your key and main properties if you do not have the funds to safeguard them from your opponents. If you have sufficient money to carry you through the game, doesn’t matter, as you might discover that some properties that belong to you are of very low value. For example, if you happen to have Park Place or Boardwalk in your list, you can hold back these cards, until you see an opportunity to utilize them in such a manner that it will win you the round.

c) Unless you can use three complete sets within one single turn, it is advisable to avoid completing them as only then can you win the game. You can manage to lose your entire set of accumulated cards, if your opponent hands you the ‘deal breaker’ card. You have to guard all your complete sets fiercely. Without them, there is no way for you to win Monopoly Deal. If you have the ‘just say no’ card use it to cancel out the ‘deal breaker’ card.

d) Use wild cards to maximize the property rent value by completing a color group. You can also use it to transform the wild card to another color, thus safe guarding yourself against the ‘deal breaker’ card.

e) By opting to utilize the rent cards in your pile of cards, you can force your opponents into surrendering their property. This can also be done with other cards that bring you fees, from the draw pile. In Monopoly Deal, all properties come attached with a monetary value. So if you manage to create sufficient debt for an opponent within a single turn, he or she will have to surrender a part of their property to you. One or more of the properties that you are able to secure in this fashion might just be the ones you need to finish up your color groups.

Released in 2008, this game is extremely addictive | monopoly deal.

Action packed Monopoly Deal – Grab the Table

Blog

monopoly deal

monopoly deal instructions

Monopoly Deal Action Packed Monopoly deal is a replica of the monopoly board game. The players should try to collect three types of different sets of cards that represent properties from the board game. There are 110 cards in the deck that represent properties and wild cards. Monopoly paper money is used to pay rent.

Monopoly Deal: The Game Starts
A Minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 people can play this game. At first four simple rule cards for reference are taken up. Each player takes out 2 cards to start with the game clockwise. Once the 2 cards are played the player has to draw 5 cards on his turn. If the player has property cards, money cards or action cards, he can place down any 3 at one turn. Your action card may be utilized for this purpose or you may put it into the bank and retain it till the end of game.
When you have to pay money for a property, you can utilize your action card to take money. When you over pay for a property, due to lack of change you can utilize the multi-color property wild cards. These are meant for force deal action cards, sly deal and deal breaker. A player is considered to win the game when he or she has three color properties on his or her turn.

Monopoly Deal: Cards

Monopoly Deal The cards are divided into 47 action cards which are sub-divided and can be used as money. The distribution of the cards are as follows:

1. They are 10 Go or Pass cards
2. Two for hotels
3. Three for houses
4. Two for double the rent cards
5. Three for birthday cards
6. Three for debt collection.
7. Three cards just to say no
8. Three sly deal cards
9. Three forced deal cards
10. Two for deal breakers
11. Three any rent cards
12. Ten colored rent cards.
13. Finally there are 20 money cards.
Normal property cards win you the game if you have 3 full set of different color properties. The property wild card allows you to change the color of your properties. For example, blue or brown properties can be substituted with colored property wild cards. The multi-colored property wild cards can be taken from the action cards to match the color of any other property card.
Monopoly Deal: Usage of Other Cards You can collect rent of your properties from your rivals with the help of rent cards, depending upon the color of the property and card. You can collect rent from any one of the colors of your property from one rival with the help of multicolored red cards. To double the rent charge, this card is used. You can do a sly deal with this particular card by stealing a property card from a rival. In order to exchange property you can use the forced deal card. The other card which is a powerful action card, allows the deal breaker to steal a full set of property cards from one rival. You can cancel the actions of a rival by a No card.

The other cards such as the debt collector and various others are used for what it is named for. This is how you play Monopoly deal.

Monopoly Deal Rules | Problem areas not Answered in Rules

Blog

Monopoly Deal Rules There are some rules, problems that aren’t explained in the Monopoly Deal rules, however, many members of the Board Game Geek forum took the initiative to email Hasbro for clarifications on some Monopoly Deal Rules. Players can steal properties from one another, and even snag entire color groups utilizing the “Deal Breaker” card.

Begin the round by shuffling the deck of cards and dealing five cards to every player. Put the remaining cards down the middle of the table to produce the “Draw Pile.” Leave room beside it for the “Discard Pile.” Decide who goes first, with play continuing clockwise.

Monopoly Deal Rules | Your Turn

In your turn, draw two cards from the draw pile. You may then play up to three cards on your turn: you can play money, action cards, or properties in any combination. You can play a maximum of three cards, but you might choose to play one, two, or even zero cards. Cards are only able to be played from your hand, not the board, and you can never put any cards from the board or discard pile back into your hands. If after your turn you have greater than seven cards in your hand, you have to discard to get your hand size back down to seven. Choose which cards to discard, and put them in the discard pile. Your turn is over, and play continues round the board.

Monopoly Deal Rules | Money, Action Cards, and Property

Money: Money, or “M”, adds no value in Monopoly Deal other than to shield you against your debts. Without having sufficient funds on the board to pay for any rent or any other in-game obligation, you spend with property. Play your Monopoly Deal money to your play area. One key rule to note, it’s not possible to make change in Monopoly Deal. If you owe the other guy 1″M”, and you only have a 10 “M” note, you are out the whole ten dollars, or you will must pay with property.

Action Cards: Action cards permit you to create an action inside the game. These actions are varied and include charging rent to some specific player, charging rent to any or all players, draw cards, build houses and hotels, force players to pay for debts, and steal properties. There is a “Just Say No” action card which counters an action that’s played against you. Action cards also have a “M” value, and will be played straight away to your cash pile. In case you play them using this method, they perform no action; they’re only money. With the exception of “Just Say No,” All action cards must be played on your turn.

Property: The Monopoly Deal Rules are such that the only way to win is to acquire property. Property can only be played with your turn, and funds cannot be used to purchase property. You need to instead play properties from the hand or take them using players using action cards. In case you have wild cards or dual-properties, they could be manipulated on your turn to complete or break up sets on your board. They might be manipulated as many times as you wish in your turn, but never during an opponent’s turn.

Monopoly Deal Rules : Houses and Hotels

Unlike most action cards, houses and hotels have rules useful which are not listed right on the card. Remember, it’s a Monopoly variant, and the normal build rules apply with only a few minor variation: it’s not possible to build houses or hotels on Railroads or Utilities; houses and hotels should be built on a complete set; and you may only build one house and one hotel on a color group.

Monopoly Deal Rules | Detailed Guide to Gameplay

Monopoly Deal Instructions

Blog

monopoly deal instructions

Monopoly Deal Instructions | Game Rules Monopoly Deal is actually a card game which tends to cause addiction introduced out by Parker Brothers. Moreover, it may be determined that certain cards are really found to be precious to be playacted onto the panel all times, despite how much currency the player owns. If the player owns Footpath and Green Place with him then it is better to onto one or two of that cards till it can be used in a supreme way that assures the success of the game.

It is better to avert finishing sets till the three in single turn can be completed in order to achieve the success in game. This is advised as there is a chance of losing an entire set at the usage of “deal breaker” card. The player is advised to go through the monopoly deal instruction in detail as it will ensure his success in the game. Without acquiring complete sets, one will not be able to win at Monopoly Deal. Being the “Just Say No” cards are occasional, it is wise to frankly abstain from finishing the chance of completing three in single chance.

Monopoly Deal Instructions | Use Wild Card Wisely!

Wild cards can be used to maximize one’s rent. Since it is possible to exchange wild cards in and out of color collections, it can be best utilized to complete a color group.
